My husband was a patient. He was transferred to the 4th floor when we knew he was in his last hours. A nurse, Carley, was a God send for myself and family. He was only on the floor for 45 minutes before he passed, but Carley really made an impact on us. When I discovered T wasn’t breathing, I went to get Carley. She held my hand and walked into his room with me and stayed with me until I needed some time with him alone. She went to the family waiting room and told my daughters and grandchildren. They all have told me how compassionate she was in how she told them. She truly has a place in my heart for the moment we shared.
