My daughter was diagnosed with Staph scalding skin syndrome that was further complicated by a drug allergy. Meghan cared for my daughter over the weekend, and she was truly a blessing. Not only did she take precious time to sit and talk with me through all of my fears and anxieties of having a hospitalized child, but most importantly, she demonstrated excellent assessment skills. She listened when I expressed concerns that something was wrong and advocated for my daughter to be transferred to a higher level of care when she saw that my daughter was not getting better. My daughter’s care was transferred to Hershey Medical Center, where she saw pediatric dermatology and infectious disease specialists who were able to modify her treatment plan that ultimately led to a full recovery. I am beyond grateful for this nurse. She exemplifies everything good about nurses. THANK YOU!
