Kelsey, first of all, is a very professional and capable caregiver. She gave a high level of care to my husband, who was a patient on her unit. She was kind to him, always talking to him whenever she had to give him some care, explaining what she was going to do, even though he was sedated and on a ventilator.

When it became obvious that the end of his life was near, she was so warm and comforting to both my husband and my son and me. She made room in his bed for me one afternoon and covered us both with a warm blanket and left us alone. I cannot tell you how wonderful that was to snuggle with my husband of 46 years one last time. It was heavenly.

The day he passed, Kelsey did her job beautifully and made it as peaceful and gentle for all of us, making a terrible situation as bearable as possible. As one last lovely gesture, she drove down to RI to attend my husband’s wake, which makes her even more special.
