Stephanie was an exceptional member and played a big role in making me feel comfortable and cared for during my labor. Regardless of the questions I asked and the number of times I called her, she always paid attention and tended to my requests. A specific moment in which I thought she went above and beyond was at the end of the labor. When we were getting ready to leave the labor room, she asked me to come try to use the bathroom and have my first pee. She walked with me, she waited, she washed me and cleaned me, she kneeled down and put underwear and a pad on me. And she even asked me what temperature I preferred to wash myself with, the peri bottle, if cold or warm water. I don't imagine any staff or any clinic ever demonstrating so much care, this level of gesture I expect from family members only.

Stephanie, I hope you feel proud of the work you do every day and the difference it makes in people's lives. Especially where you work, where one is at one of the most vulnerable moments. Thank you very much.
