I had been in the hospital for three days, and I asked my nurse, Andrea, if I could go outside to get fresh air and sun. She made a clear effort to make this happen. Standing or sitting outside near the emergency entrance may not seem like a big deal to many people, but the way this small gesture and opportunity lifted my spirits is hard to put into words.  

As someone who will be getting their very first surgery, I cannot speak highly enough about my nurses and how they have made me feel over the last few days.  Because of them, I feel extremely comfortable, truly cared for, and confident in my days ahead.  She treated me with an abundance of kindness and realness, and I am confident that without her as my nurse, my time here would look and feel completely different.  

I will be forever grateful for the experience she has given me and the additional treat of getting fresh air and sunlight.  Thank you 100x!
