I was admitted to the hospital through the Emergency Department. I had fallen and was in a lot of pain. In addition to my knee injury, I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation, which was a surprise and added a lot of stress. After some very painful diagnostic imaging, I was finally taken to my room on the 4th floor. That was where I met Nate. He was my nurse most of the time until my surgery, and what a Godsend! Nate is not only very professional and competent, but he also has the ability to help a patient heal mentally. Through our conversations, I got many questions answered, and most of all, started to feel like a person rather than just a medical condition and diagnosis. I truly believe that Nate should get a lot of credit for my recovery - he not only dealt with the medical issues but helped me heal as a person.
