Stacey is the RN who has the difficult task of being the Radiology New Patient Navigator for a very busy women's health/breast center in Stoneham. We are affiliated with MelroseWakefield Healthcare, a very busy two-surgeon, two NP practice. Stacey is the face of the center when she reaches out to patients and educates them on the next steps in their care, typically involving a biopsy to determine if the findings on a mammogram are cancerous or not. Every day, Stacey reaches out to numerous patients who are very anxious and upset, and her dedication and professionalism shine in every interaction. Our patient experience scores are amongst the highest in the organization, and I tie this back to the individualized care she provides immediately to all the patients we see who require a biopsy. I think it is important to give Stacey this nomination since she is the solo RN in the practice and juggling calls and follow-ups in a professional and timely fashion. Her role makes all the difference for the patients and the Surgeons/NPs she works with. I appreciate having Stacey on my team.
