Amber is truly an amazing and strong individual. She has gone above and beyond for not only the patients but also coworkers and MercyOne in general. Clinic nurses don’t often get this award due to less patient interaction but that doesn’t take away from all she does. Without Amber, the pain management and rheumatology clinic wouldn't function. She works under two pain management providers and still helps with rheumatology as well. She comes to work every day unless planned and never calls in. She is the one you can always rely on to be there, even when she doesn’t feel like it. She is one hard working, strong individual who has a lot on her plate daily. She has helped train multiple amazing people and she did this all with patience. She doesn’t have to go above and beyond, but always seems to. She gets a lot on her plate, but she handles it well and doesn’t complain. We are currently transitioning to a new system, Epic, and she is the nurse template builder for all four providers in our clinic while still working her job full time. She was here all last weekend learning how to use Epic just so she can help with the process when we are ready. I truly don’t think she gets recognized for all she does daily, and I think this would mean a lot to her and put tears in her eyes, knowing someone saw her and all she does. Without her, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I could never thank her enough.
