She thought of any issue before it became a problem.
Ashley was our nurse, my daughter’s nurse, and she was so compassionate. She listened effectively and answered all my questions. What stood out to me the most was when the priest came into the room to give my daughter the Apostolic Blessing, Ashley stopped the work she was doing on the computer, she turned around, bowed her head, and prayed with us! It meant so much to me how respectful and reverent Ashley was. Healing needs not only medical but also spiritual factors. Ashley would get a dozen daisies if it were up to me!

Today, I was contacted by Ashley regarding one of the patients, as she wanted to inform me of a change in his wound. This made me realize how much I appreciate working with Ashley, as she is always diligent and proactive with her patients. Many times, when Wound Care has been consulted, Ashley has already implemented interventions while waiting for the patient to be seen. When I arrive at the bedside of new patients, Ashley is there cleaning, documenting, and dressing wounds.
Furthermore, Ashley always treats her patients with kindness and compassion. She has the right amount of humor in her interactions with them. She is always on top of her patient care and knows what is going on with them and what has changed with them. I have seen Ashley sharing her knowledge with her co-workers and jumping in to help them with complicated wound care. She is a leader on the floor, and we are lucky to have her working at Bryan.

Ashley is one of the best nurses I have ever met. She listened to my concerns with pain and helped to find that my chest tube wasn’t in the correct place. Ashley noticed the change in my back and neck, which helped them discover displacement of air from my lungs. She is always looking me over and is extremely dedicated to my improvement.
She cared about every test result and ensured I understood what’s next. She was a true advocate for me. I can only hope to get so lucky as to have her if I need care again. She thought of any issue before it became a problem. She is a superstar. I wish every nurse cared as much as she does!
