From the moment Nurse Billings walked into my 76-year-old husband’s ER-assigned treatment room, we felt Josh was someone very special. He loves his job in the ER, and it shows! His focus is so personal, and his love for his patients radiates. He is so real! He is not just at his job dutifully waiting until the clock runs out for his shift. So much so that when it came time to transfer my husband to the hospital to remain for a day or two, there was a moment of actual separation sadness for me. Knowing Nurse Josh wouldn’t be coming! His personal, caring attention and support for my husband and me were immediate and so genuine. The next afternoon, my son and I were waiting for food at the lobby grove when Josh came around the corner on his way home. He recognized me first, and my face just started to smile as he walked over in my direction. He placed a caring arm on my shoulder and asked how my husband was doing. Josh grew as excited and happy as my son, and I were when we told him all the good news about my husband’s drastically improving condition from the night before. Josh was so genuinely and sincerely happy for us. He is an amazing young man in the right profession who shows up for people every day of his life! We pray for great blessings and goodness to come his way always. He makes people approaching the uneasiness often found in the ER setting go away. He is thorough and precise in his analysis of the situation and lays procedures and results out clearly and succinctly. He emits such a feeling of trust with his patients and their families. He has all the time in the world for you, and he is highly efficient. So capable! He even trained someone working alongside him Saturday night around my husband, and he did so with excellent people skills.
