He helped my dad to overcome mobility challenges, and eventually, my dad was successful.
My dad is an 82-year-old lung cancer stage four patient. He doesn’t speak English and has a severe mobility challenge. Isaac showed extra compassion and provided attentive care for my dad. We were anxious when my dad hadn’t had a bowel movement for a few days. We called Isaac five times in one day to help my dad get up and go to the bathroom. Isaac was patient with my dad’s situation and provided responsive and compassionate care. He helped my dad to overcome mobility challenges, and eventually, my dad was successful. Isaac also helped my dad make another breakthrough. My dad responded well to Isaac’s help and started eating real food. My dad is over 180 pounds. Every time he got up, we relied on Isaac’s support and care to avoid further bone fractures. My dad had been lying in bed for over 10 days. We wanted to have his sheets and gown changed. Issac was very responsive to our requests for help, big or small. His attention to detail and compassionate care greatly affected my dad’s situation. Not every nurse is able to manage tough jobs like my dad’s situation.
Isaac was always calm and willing to go the extra mile to make a positive difference in a difficult situation. My family is very grateful for Isaac’s care and support. My dad was very happy when Isaac came to his bed to help. Dad said, “Thank you” in Chinese. Compassion and care transcend language and cultural barriers. Our family feels blessed to have Dad treated and cared for at Rex. We’ll always remember and appreciate every small detail and care provided by exceptional caregivers like Isaac.
