Anita was my night shift nurse during the birth of my third child. She stayed with me and my husband for most of my time laboring, answering questions and chatting with us to keep us in good spirits. When particularly difficult contractions came, she rubbed my back and showed my husband where to apply gentle pressure to counteract my pains. She listened to my past birthing experiences and trusted my expertise in my own body, which helped our team make decisions for my care.

Anita encouraged and complimented me throughout my labor and delivery process and made me feel so special and strong. She treated me with such dignity and gentleness in the vulnerable moments after giving birth. This was by far my best birthing experience, and I attribute almost all of it to my wonderful care team. Anita was my L&D nurse for my first baby. I can't even begin to describe how comforting, patient, and compassionate she was. She made me feel at ease and supported me in every decision.

I tried so many different positions, and she was patient in showing my partner and me ways to relieve my pain without medications. Once the decision was made between my partner and me to give meds a try, she was supportive in that journey as well. I don't remember much from my labor, but I will always remember the difference Anita made. I am so lucky to have had her there. She never left my side, and I am forever grateful.
