Ace started his Kaiser Permanente journey in 2016 in KP Manteca, moved to KP San Francisco, and eventually here in KP Sacramento. He started as a regular staff member in 5East and began his term as a chair in the committee just as he has done in the past. He extended beyond his role as committee chair to help improve and create impactful ways and processes to achieve the department's goals. His commitment, hard work, and dedication are unparalleled and have made a positive impact on our team. He is a role model to his colleagues, an advocate for mentoring, and values the opportunity to share knowledge and wisdom.

Ace has received multiple recognitions from his patients in the past years. A very kind-hearted and caring nurse, does things wholeheartedly and takes time to communicate with them. He extends help to the patients in our unit even when he is not the primary nurse. A few of the patient’s comments include:

I met Ace on the first few days I got here, he’s a great nurse. At first, he was helping everyone with their relief, but he explained things, making sure I understood, was very attentive, and on top of things. Today I got a chance to be his patient again, and it’s just wonderful.

Ace is very conscientious, compassionate, caring & genuinely engaged. He made me feel I am very important, when I left yesterday for a test, he told me positive things, gave me a thumbs up & told me, “We will be here waiting for you when you come back, I got your back”. That made me feel very welcomed & cared for.
