I took my 10-year-old daughter to the walk-in with concerns of strep throat. She was hesitant to go because she does not like the hospital, what kid does? We were taken in by Ainsley, RN, who was super sweet the entire visit. After evaluation by providers, there was concern for a peritonsillar abscess, in which antibiotic shots were recommended. My daughter was so scared and distraught when she heard this.

Ainsley kept so calm and collected, which made my daughter feel less scared. She was very thorough; she explained things in a way we could understand and answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was not afraid. She used a cool spray prior to giving a shot so it would lessen the pain. She cheered my daughter on and praised her for doing so well by giving her stickers and a popsicle afterwards. She definitely made an impression on me and my daughter; you just don't see this kind of compassion in urgent care often. Thank you, Ainsley, you are so wonderful!
