My dad was admitted via ambulance for a fall that occurred at our auto shop. It was a very traumatic experience for our family, especially my brother, who witnessed the accident. From the moment that he arrived, Brooke was very attentive to my dad’s specific needs. In that situation, in severe pain, my dad at times had specific requests, and Brooke was there to fulfill every need with a positive attitude. When it was time to make a decision on his care, she directed us on what she would recommend based on if my dad were hers.

At one point my sister, overwhelmed by the situation, even became lightheaded and felt like she was about to faint. Brooke was there with a juice and a smile, willing to help. 

Overall, as a healthcare worker myself, I know the strains that are on nurses at this busy time. Our family wanted to ensure that Brooke was recognized for the kind and compassionate care she provided to our Dad in his time of need.
