I would like to nominate Kayli Pietkiewicz for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional care during an incredibly challenging shift. Kayli was assigned to a critically ill patient who required a STAT head CT scan, followed immediately by a STAT brain MRI. This patient was intubated, on multiple critical infusions, and being continuously monitored with VEEG, making the transport process complex and high-risk. Despite the high pressure and urgency of the situation, Kayli remained composed and focused. She expertly coordinated the transport of the patient twice within one shift, ensuring that every aspect of care was handled flawlessly. Kayli demonstrated incredible leadership, appropriately delegating tasks to her colleagues when necessary. Her calm demeanor and positive attitude allowed her to stay in control of the situation as she navigated through this critical shift with a smile on her face. Kayli's professionalism, clinical skills, and compassionate care are exemplary. She truly embodies the essence of nursing excellence and is a remarkable asset to our team.
