I can confidently say that Mrs. McKay has made such an impact on me. At the beginning of the year, I felt like I was not cut out for this profession. But, because of her, I stayed. I see how much she loves this profession, and I want to feel the same. She is kind and professional. She is understanding, and you can tell how much passion she has for nursing, but more importantly, education.

Every opportunity I or anyone in my class had to lack confidence, she was immediately there to enforce it and to push us to be our best selves. It was wonderful to have her as my Health Assessment Lab Professor. Because of her, I have confidence in my skills and feel prepared to begin the next part of my year. I am just so thankful and want her to know how much she is appreciated!

Mrs. McKay is one of the most dedicated and compassionate instructors I have come across in my nursing career. Not only does she care about the well-being of her students, but she is also beyond dedicated to making sure that each and every one of us receives the best experience in clinical. She always makes a point to ensure we understand the content she teaches in lecture.

She is an amazing hands-on instructor, but also an incredibly dedicated teacher who is beyond knowledgeable. I appreciate her dedication to her students and her willingness to make sure that, with each day,in we are learning. She has also made a great effort within her role to encourage every student to feel confident with whatever comes next. She is truly the kindest soul, and her compassion for her patients never fails to show.

Mrs. McKay has made my last clinical of nursing school amazing. So many emotions and stress run through during the final semester, and she has always been there to offer a hand or just listen to any of my problems. She truly cares about her students and their success.
