My husband underwent a triple bypass and was admitted into the ICU. His first night didn't go as well as I had hoped regarding attention to detail by the overnight nurse. The next morning, we met Meredith, and I knew right away that our day was going to be wonderful. It was apparent she was compassionate. My husband had multiple issues - kidney, heart, lung. Meredith was aware of all the problems and ensured she stayed on top of all the doctors' orders, keeping my husband and me informed. She explained everything, and my husband became so comfortable that he forgot all about his previous night. Meredith was funny, professional, and loved being a nurse. The entire day went smoothly, as it should. We were fortunate to have met Meredith, and Piedmont Hospital is lucky to have such a fine young lady on staff.
