There aren't enough words to express how thankful we are to our nurse, Sam. We had our first child at Wyoming Fairview via C-section and felt wildly unprepared with the experience as a whole and care/steps afterwards. Sam was able to take care of us after a bad first experience with the morning nurses. She did a fantastic job of calming us down, explaining things in terms we could understand, and was the only person who could assist us in getting our son to latch. In addition to the "normal" job duties, she made an effort to make our experience as a whole go smoothly - from tips on insurance, to making sure that we were able to get the footprints & handprints we wanted. Whenever she was leaving for the day, she checked in with us before leaving and also made an effort to say hi when she arrived in the morning. She truly cares for her patients and made a lifelong lasting impression on our lives that we will never forget. After those 3 days, we left feeling like we were more her friend than her patient/job. I'm so thankful that she was on staff and able to help guide us through our journey, turning our originally rough experience around!
