I would like to nominate Terri Rogers for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to nursing and patient care. Terri exemplifies excellence in nursing leadership through her commitment to innovation, advocacy, and mentorship.

Terri has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership in her role as the clinical manager of CVICU and the PICC team. Her ability to inspire and empower her team has led to high-quality care, great outcomes, and a family workplace culture.

Through her dedication to continuous improvement, Terri has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence in nursing. She ensures that both patients and staff benefit from best practices and compassionate care. This is evident in her process improvements through the PICC team to reduce CLABSIs facility-wide.

I have witnessed this both professionally and personally. I can call on Terri at any time. I can always count on her to think outside of the box and follow through with any idea. As a colleague, Terri has helped across many spectrums. From IV drips for GIP hospice patients on the floor to troubleshooting dressing changes. Personally, I have had two family members with open heart surgery. Due to Terri’s amazing leadership, she has cultivated a team that provides safe, quality care to patients at their most vulnerable state. I’d like to think I am special, but this team gives this level of care to every patient who steps foot in the unit.

What this all has in common is Terri’s outpouring of love for her patients, families, staff, and colleagues. For her dedication to patient care and leadership, I wholeheartedly nominate Terri for this amazing award. Her contributions have made a lasting impact on this facility and the community we serve every day.

Note: This is Terri's 2nd DAISY Award!
