I am a nurse. I am a nurse who got pregnant and ended up having a late-term miscarriage. I was terrified of the situation, but Peyton held not only my hand, my ice pack, my leg, but also my strength through it all. She was compassionate not only towards me, but also towards my husband. She answered every single one of my ridiculous questions, and I felt completely capable of putting my life in her hands. She was/is an extraordinary nurse and person. I was so honored she had walked the journey with us, and she has chosen the absolutely correct path for her. I owe my life to her and am forever grateful for the comfort she provided for myself, my husband, and my family through it all in a situation where there was none. She was the definition of going above and beyond. She was the sliver of hope in a horrible situation. As a nurse myself, I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse and human being.
