Chuka was recognized by the wife and daughter of a patient who was transferred to the LTACH hospital from the Neuro ICU. He had cognitive issues and lost 30 lbs because he was not eating. The family said that Chuka takes the time to feed their family member so that he eats most of his meals. The patient takes his meds with the gentle urging ways of Chuka. The family states that Chuka is so understanding and patient. He is such a blessing to the patient, but Chuka's kindness and caring have extended to them. He goes above and beyond to help in any way he can. If he doesn't know the answer, he will find the answer in an effort to keep them informed.
