I recommend Briana for many reasons. First, she started as a PCT and then got her LPN and is actively working towards her RN. She works in every scope, not afraid to do "tech chores" like stocking, cleaning floor drains, mixing acid, packing labs for the next day, etc., any job that needs to be done, she does it without hesitation to ensure that the patients are taken care of first and foremost. She is the AAM, trying to get as many patients as possible to an AVF or AVG, working to get all patients where they need to be, while also respecting the patients' choices and what is best for them. She also works with the PD nurse, helping with PD cath placements and whatever needs are on that side of the world. Bri works extra shifts, picking up almost any day they are short, coming in early so that patient care in not effected.

A specific instance of her above and beyond patient care is the several new fistula starts. On several occasions, Bri has gone into work on her days off, gone in early, or gone back in after a shift is over to start new fistulas or help a patient create buttonholes to move to a home modality. She is continually putting the patients above herself and demonstrates many of the DaVita core values every day at work.
