I am writing to nominate Jared for recognition based on the exceptional care he provided to my sister. Jared was the nurse on duty for day shift, and his compassion and professionalism were evident in every task he performed. Even though my sister was not fully conscious, Jared consistently communicated with her, explaining everything he was doing. He spoke to her gently, treated her with dignity, and worked to comfort her when she showed signs of pain or fear. His presence brought peace to a very difficult time, and I truly believe every patient and family deserves a nurse like Jared.

In addition to caring for my critically ill sister, Jared was also precepting a student nurse. Despite the demands of the day, he remained patient, clear, and encouraging with her. He provided thoughtful explanations and empowered her with both knowledge and confidence in everything a student nurse needs to grow. Jared didn't just model clinical excellence; he modeled heart, empathy, and mentorship. What sets Jared apart is that he didn't just do his job, he gave of himself in a way that cannot be taught. He led with compassion, regardless of the stress or situation in the room. In a healthcare system often stretched thin, Jared and the student stood out as beacons of hope, grace, and resilience.
