The dynamic between her and the learners is a true testimony of the value she holds within the profession of nursing. Chelsey's continuous efforts and work with the learners of this program showcase her sincere interest in their professional growth and development.
As the Course Coordinator and Instructor of the Critical Care Sponsorship Program within Toronto Western Hospital - UHN, I would like to nominate a unit Registered Nurse for her outstanding efforts and impact that she has had within the program.

Chelsey is a Registered Nurse working within TWH MSNICU. Recently, Chelsey has become a clinical leader within the TWH MSNICU serving in the role as Clinical Facilitator for RN learners enrolled within the accelerated Critical Care Nursing Sponsorship Program. In recent years, the program has experienced higher enrollment of novice new graduate nurses. Chelsey's mentorship, support, coaching and strength-based approach has allowed her to serve as a pivotal catalyst for these novice new graduate nurses who are transitioning into the critical care environment. Chelsey takes great honour in developing and establishing a professional relationship with the learners and has become a role model for many of the novice nurses within the program. The dynamic between her and the learners is a true testimony of the value she holds within the profession of nursing. Chelsey's continuous efforts and work with the learners of this program showcase her sincere interest in their professional growth and development. Although new in the Clinical Facilitator role, Chelsey has crafted and executed exemplary coaching and mentorship skills.

In addition, the following submissions from her peers continue to highlight the impact she has within the unit:

“…Chelsey is a highly intelligent, positive, diligent, and ambitious nurse. Within the last 2 years, I have had the honor of getting to know Chelsey in the capacity of her clinical manager at the Toronto Western Hospital- Medical Surgical/ Neurological Intensive Care Unit. Within this short period of time in getting to know Chelsey, I have witnessed her dedication to the unit and profession, her enthusiastic spirit, and a high level of emotional intelligence. Chelsey is a very inquisitive individual and has expressed a passion for learning and teaching. She is an outstanding mentor and colleague. I have watched her grow, seen her talents and abilities not only at the bedside but outside the walls when interacting with fellow colleagues and students to make them feel guided and integrated into the unit. Chelsey has incredible energy and refreshing optimism, only enough to accomplish what needs to be done for the better of the unit and profession. Of equal magnitude, her impact on our nurse trainees, especially in the context of the post-pandemic HHR landscape, is impressive. I have great expectations from Chelsey in terms of educational and communal leadership in the years to come. Thank you for the opportunity to provide this recommendation for such a wonderful nurse…”
