Nina is so caring, she knows when to be funny and when you need extra care. I am having a long, frustrating admission and had more than a few panic attacks handling everything. I felt so gross and depressed. I had asked her if I could plead with the doctors to be up long enough to wash my hair in the sink because the shower caps hurt my skin. Nina took charge and took time out of what I know was a very busy day to keep me in bed and wash my hair herself. Not rushing but taking the time to make me feel valued, special and pretty. And it meant absolutely everything to me. She truly exemplifies what an amazing nurse is. From joking with me to taking a minute to have deeper chats when she saw I needed it. All while handling a heavy patient load, she never lost her caring and patience. She truly gave me the gift of caring, and while I don't love hospital admissions (who does?) A stay where Nina is my nurse is always so much better.
