I would like you to take the time to read what an anonymous nurse said about another nurse on my Unit. It is the epitome of why we all went into nursing!

Cole Crowder went above and beyond his nursing and bedside duties to take care of a patient coming up to his end-of-life decision-making. Cole was very attentive to not only silencing alarms that were inevitably going off, but also sat and talked with the patient whenever he had the chance. This patient was very scared, and Cole went the extra mile to make him feel more comfortable talking about hunting, fishing, and things the patient enjoyed. I want to recognize his care and compassion that he gives his patients not only on a day-to-day nursing need, but also the fact that he really cares for his patients. Kudos to you, Cole! Heart of Gold, and I know the patient appreciated every moment of normalcy he was able to give him.
