Over the past three years, I have gotten to know Lauren as a student when teaching classes and as a leader through student organizations. Lauren is incredibly compassionate, intelligent, and a great leader. Lauren holds leadership positions in both the MSOE Nursing Honor Society and Global Brigades. This spring, Lauren successfully led an international trip to Guatemala with 21 members on the Global Brigades Medical team. Lauren was very organized, which facilitated an incredible experience to provide health care services to members of the Chajalajya community in Guatemala. Lauren is a natural leader, and others work harder when they are around her. She is an inspiration and a role model to all of her peers. She will be an amazing new graduate nurse.
