I would like to nominate Caitlynn Radlinger as the next recipient of the DAISY Award. My fiancé was in the hospital for an extended stay at your facility. This was a very stressful crisis, one that we hope not to go through ever again. While T was in the hospital, I had the opportunity to get to know one of his nurses, Caitlynn Radlinger. Caitlynn possesses the unique skill of being able to immediately connect with a patient and the patient's family members, in a way that makes them feel extremely comfortable and safe. When Caitlynn walks into the room, she commands the scene! Not only does she exude confidence, but she also displays a level of competence that I have rarely seen over the past decade. As Caitlynn goes about her duties, she has the ability to make patients feel well taken care of. In addition to her obvious skills, knowledge, and professionalism, Caitlynn possesses a unique, wry sense of humor that adds just the right amount of levity to an otherwise morose situation. I would truly look forward to our exchange of wit! I could definitely see Caitlynn in a Supervisory position or a staff trainer. She is truly an asset to the San Luis Valley Health medical team and is truly worthy of receiving the DAISY Award. As a matter of fact, I may consider legally adopting Caitlynn!
