He instantly warmed my heart because he was so attentive, concerned, kind, and professional.
I've been here 46 days through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, so it's fair to say I've met almost all the nurses here. During my first week, I was sad and unbeknownst to anyone, I was grieving. My partner died, and I couldn't afford rent. I fell and broke my hip, and was barely eating and not taking any insulin the way I should. I went down to 90 pounds. I was truly at death's door upon arrival. In the first week, Sawyer was my nurse. He instantly warmed my heart because he was so attentive, concerned, kind, and professional. Being a male nurse, he was very mindful of my privacy, yet still did his job. He always came right back when he said he would, answered my questions, and most of all did not pass judgment or belittle me when I deep down felt ashamed and humiliated due to being an addict at one time. He understood my tolerance for pain meds due to my past, and I cannot say the same about another experience I had here. When I found out he's only been a nurse and working here since August 2024 I was shocked. I thought he's been here for several years. Thank you to everyone
