She also learned that the veteran experienced recent falls, which were not followed up on by a doctor, and was still suffering from some symptoms from the fall. Ann immediately communicated her concerns to the surgery team. As a result, surgery was cancelled, preventing potential complications and ensuring the veteran’s safety.
