Mom referred to Angela as “My Angel.” I believe that’s the highest praise a nurse can receive. Mom always perked up when she discovered that Angela was going to be her nurse for the day. Her bedside approach was calming. She talked to my Mom through her current state and answered all her questions. She took the extra time to make certain Mom understood her since she cannot hear very well. While Angela administered care, they traded stories about their children and had some wonderful moments. During Mom’s stay, Angela was a wonderfully calming force that treated my mother with dignity, making sure she clearly understood what was her current status. I know even after leaving the hospital, my mother will continue to tell people about “My Angel,” who looked out for me at Conemaugh Memorial. Thank you so much for recruiting top talent like Angela.
