I would like to take the time to nominate Sarah Worden a PCU RN for the amazing care that she provides every day to her patients. I personally got to witness the care she provided to a friend. Sarah has the qualities that every nurse should have. Sarah is caring, kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable, just to name a few. Over the weekend, Sarah spent numerous hours sitting by the bedside of this patient, holding her hand and providing the emotional support she needed. She advocated for the patient to ensure that she was not in pain and that she was able to breathe without difficulty. She spoke numerous times with providers to obtain the orders she needed. Sarah updated the patient's daughter to keep her at ease. Every time that I went up to PCU to check on L and Sarah was always at the bedside with her. In my opinion, Sarah went above and beyond with the care she provided. I just want to make sure that she knows her work does not go unnoticed.
