Carly took care of my dad, who was admitted to the ICU. Carly took care of my dad in the last days of his precious life. Carly was patient, kind, compassionate, and overall an amazing nurse. Carly allowed my family and me to take all the time that we needed when deciding that it was time for my dad to switch to comfort measures. I always knew, as a nurse, what that entailed; however, experiencing it from a family perspective was truly devastating. Carly made this time more bearable. She was attentive and allowed us to make decisions and guide when my dad needed more medications, and Carly was always there to make sure that he felt no pain during his passing. Carly was very knowledgeable in the dying process and was there to explain things to my mom when I was in tears, now transitioning to the grieving process. Carly made keepsakes that my family will forever cherish to remember my dad in his final moments of life. I will never forget Carly and the amazing care she provided to my dad and our family.
