I am honored to nominate Jennifer Bjork for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership, compassion, and dedication to both patients and staff in our Medical Oncology Clinic. I became a nurse later in life, and I have been fortunate to work under her guidance for almost 4 years. I have witnessed firsthand the impact she has had on our team and the patients we serve. Jen consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every patient receives not only excellent care but also kindness and emotional support that is so important in oncology. A moment that stood out to me was with a patient who needed ostomy care. With a busy clinic, Jen stepped in without hesitation, doing so with compassion. Her gentle approach and kindness with this patient were wonderful. She truly embodies CentraCare's culture-building program, "Our Best Begins with Me," and it shows every day.

Beyond her patient care, Jen is a great advocate for the nursing staff. She leads by example, always ready to lend a helping hand, provide guidance, or simply check in to ensure we feel supported. She creates a work environment where teamwork and encouragement thrive, making even the most challenging days a little easier. Her leadership is filled with dedication and compassion. Whether mentoring new nurses, advocating for better patient care practices, or simply offering words of encouragement, Jen embodies the very essence of what it means to be a nurse. For these reasons and so many more, I wholeheartedly nominate Jennifer Bjork for the DAISY Award. She is a remarkable leader, and her impact extends far beyond the walls of our clinic.
