When it became clear that a C-section was the best option, Catherine was there for me through it all, from helping me sign the consent forms to staying with me until I was back in my room with my beautiful daughter.
I was admitted to JBER Hospital's Labor & Delivery to have my baby, as a first-time mom, everything was completely new and overwhelming. When Catherine became my nurse during the day shift, I had already been in labor for over 12 hours, and I was beyond exhausted. From the moment she walked into the room, she brought such a calm and kind energy that made me feel instantly cared for. From the moment she arrived, Catherine’s kindness and clear communication helped put me at ease. She laid out a detailed plan for the day, which I really appreciated because it gave me a sense of what to expect. As the day went on and my labor wasn’t progressing as hoped, Catherine remained a constant source of hope and positivity. Even when things weren’t going as planned, her reassuring words gave me the strength to keep going.

She asked what kind of music I wanted to play during the surgery to help me feel more at ease, and she ensured my husband was informed about every step of the process. I even remember her checking in on him during the delivery. Her thoughtful care and attention to every little detail made the experience feel more personal and special. I will never forget how she made me feel. Catherine wasn’t just a nurse; she advocated for me, answered every question I had with patience and compassion, and took the time to reassure my family as well. Her knowledge and professionalism were evident, but it was her kindness, empathy, and genuine care that truly stood out. Though my birth experience didn’t go exactly as I had envisioned, Catherine truly made it special. Her care and support turned what could have been a difficult experience into a positive one. I’ll be forever grateful for her compassion and professionalism. Catherine is an outstanding nurse, and I can’t thank her enough for everything she did.
