When my aunt mentioned that she missed her three dogs, Erin made a brilliant suggestion. Thirty minutes and a couple of phone calls later, Erin helped my aunt into a wheelchair and wheeled her down to the ground floor, where one of her dogs was waiting for her.
I am honored to nominate Erin Babcock for her exceptional care and compassion during a difficult time in the hospital. When I arrived to support my aunt, who had just been diagnosed with a brain tumor, I was overwhelmed with anxiety. Erin's calm demeanor immediately put me at ease as she patiently answered my many questions and walked me through my aunt's treatment process.

What stood out most was the bond Erin formed with my aunt in such a short time. Despite the challenging circumstances, my aunt quickly grew to adore Erin. Erin and my aunt bonded over their love for dogs. When my aunt mentioned that she missed her three dogs, Erin made a brilliant suggestion. Thirty minutes and a couple of phone calls later, Erin helped my aunt into a wheelchair and wheeled her down to the ground floor, where one of her dogs was waiting for her. It was an unnecessary yet delightful moment when Erin went above and beyond the call of duty to make her patient, and thus her patient's family, feel at ease.

When my aunt learned she would be moving to a different ward, she was distraught and insisted, "I'm only leaving if I can take Erin with me." This sentiment perfectly captures the impact Erin had on both my aunt and our family.

Erin is a truly exceptional nurse and a wonderful person. I hope she receives the recognition she deserves for her outstanding care and dedication.
