Christopher was my dad's nurse for three days, and during that time, he had a profound effect on my father. He was calm, stable, and understanding with him even during his times of confusion, and never rushed him when he was telling the same story for the fifth time. He also took all the time needed to explain procedures, medications, and treatment plans to my dad and me.

I am in nursing school, and Christopher took the extra time to make sure I had all the info I needed, even though he needed to explain things multiple times. An example of how he went above and beyond is discussing lifestyle changes with my dad; he also disclosed he was going through similar struggles and how similar they were. He showed deep concern for my dad, and these moments were critical in my dad's recovery. Christopher also never seemed to be tired or treated him differently, even when his behavior was difficult to deal with. I cannot thank this nurse enough for all the care he gave my dad; it improved his care and outcome for the better.
