Daniel has led our simulation lab/education department for several years. He encourages us to provide high-quality education for staff and students. If there is a challenge with anything we are trying to accomplish, Daniel always helps us find a way to make it happen. Daniel is an excellent resource as a mentor to our team. He is also great at helping us develop professionally by allowing us autonomy in delivering our educational programs. He provides guidance and support whenever needed. Daniel is dedicated to enhancing patient care and making a positive impact on not only our facility, but he also serves on many local, regional, state, and national boards and associations. Daniel is a member of our DEI Steering Committee at our organization. He is passionate about ensuring we provide an inclusive and equitable care environment. Daniel consistently upholds the highest professional and ethical standards in his practice. He speaks regularly in our facility orientation and different practice councils to educate and ensure others are upholding the Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.

Daniel does an exceptional job at networking. He works consistently to network with many other groups to foster practice sharing and relationships. Daniel participates in many nursing organizations, local community groups, high schools, and nursing schools to create opportunities to improve healthcare but to also encourage others to join the healthcare profession. Daniel demonstrates his leadership through serving on the community college boards, guiding our education department to assist in improving quality care, and driving EBP initiatives.

He leads our team in policy and procedure development and review. Daniel directs our nursing clinical ladder, nurse residency, student nurse, simulation lab, and continuous nursing education programs. He has been an excellent mentor and leader to our education team and me personally. I have become a recent nurse manager. Daniel has provided constant support and mentoring prior to as well as after taking this role.
