I nervously arrived at the hospital for my procedure and expected that meeting anyone at 5:30 in the morning would bring me to either someone eager to finish their shift or cranky for just beginning their shift. 

Pahola immediately put me at ease regarding my surgery. She spent a considerable amount of time explaining each step of the things that she was doing, the many steps of the upcoming surgery I would have, and all aspects of the recovery process.

She presented great empathy towards me; Pahola's professionalism was unparalleled. She took the time to make me feel welcome, comfortable, secure, and confident in her and Mid-State Medical Center. 

When my wife was able to visit me at the unit, Pahola took the time to comfort her and make her feel welcome. My wife told me that she felt much better about my having surgery thanks to Pahola's "very kind manner."

Pahola is a true credit to nursing, and very deserving of recognition for the wonderful work she does.
