I first met Hilary a few days before I was supposed to be induced when I had to take a trip to labor and delivery after some concerns at my routine OB appointment, so naturally, I was nervous, and she took amazing care of me and eased my mind. 

Everything ended up being fine, and she said if I made it through the weekend without going into labor, she would be there and be my nurse for my induction. I did make it and showed up that morning, and she was there. There weren’t a lot of admissions that day, so she actually told me that she was offered to take the day off, but she wanted to come in and be there for me, which was such an amazing and kind thing to do. I had horrible anxiety about giving birth for the first time, and it eased my mind to see her! She explained every step of my induction to myself and my husband, answered any and all questions I had, and held my hand right along with him when I was going through the most pain and when I got my epidural. 

She truly made the entire experience amazing and a memory that I look back fondly on. Unfortunately, she just missed the birth of my son by a few hours after her shift ended, but I will never forget her and everything she did for me, just going above and beyond to give me the best birth experience I could have!
