Meghan is the most amazing nurse. My mom has been a patient at the Sticht Center for the last two weeks, and we’ve had great nurses, but she has been exceptional. We had a particularly hard day last weekend. My mom was in a lot of pain. Meghan spent so much time with us trying to figure out what was going on with my mom, but most importantly, she was trying to get her comfortable. Her outgoing personality makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She made us feel like we were the only ones needing help. She was calm, encouraging, and extremely patient. Being a nurse myself, my standards are very high. I feel that she is this way with all of her patients. Working with the geriatric population can be taxing, but she displays energy and empathy in everything she does. I feel Meghan should be recognized for her gift of nursing.
