Jess was busy with multiple admissions on the floor and still took the time to call the doctor again to advocate for her patient’s needs.
Jess is the definition of an excellent nurse!
My nephew was admitted, and she met all his needs. He was very anxious about spending the night in the hospital. (Lost his mom due to breast cancer.) The doctor was on the fence about discharging and had decided to keep him overnight. J had promised to take his antibiotics if they let him go home, and he was feeling better, tolerating his clear liquid diet. Jess was busy with multiple admissions on the floor and still took the time to call the doctor again to advocate for her patient’s needs.
She was calm, caring, and so professional. You would have never known how busy she was because she spent time listening to her patients' needs. This is the definition of a DAISY Award Honoree!
