Amelia had multiple nominations in one cycle: Amelia is a great nurse. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions. We had so many questions, and she was patient, informative, and very professional. She kept us informed of everything that was happening in a timely manner. We loved it when she wrote down all of the medications we were scheduled to take, along with the times we were supposed to take them. She was very personable and a joy to be with. A patient had an episode of screaming and crying in pain. Amelia helped by comforting the patient. Not only did she comfort the patient, but she also provided increased support to me as a nurse. The patient began crawling on the floor, still screaming and crying. Amelia knew exactly what to say to comfort her. She stopped what she was doing to help me. She is a team player, and I believe her SPIRIT values were truly demonstrated. Amelia provided exceptional care during my postpartum period and gave hands-on support to my baby. As a first-time mom, there was a lot of anxiety we faced as new patients, but Amelia's knowledge and demeanor calmed our nerves as soon as we met her. She went above and beyond to show us the ropes around swaddling and express pumping. At no point did we feel alone in our journey as new parents when Amelia was around. When she saw I was having difficulty getting my baby to latch, despite my decision to exclusively breastfeed, she was extremely understanding and stepped in to help me understand how I could supplement while continuing to express milk and establish a feeding schedule. The care, knowledge, and experience that Amelia has are unparalleled. In the 8 hours or so while in her care, my family was fully supported, and I was empowered to make informed choices for my baby. I can only thank Amelia wholeheartedly for the care and support. I hope other mothers can benefit from her time, love, and attention.
