The passion, commitment, and dedication to our patients that this nursing clinical informatics team demonstrates every day is astounding! This highly educated team is solid! One is a true champion for maternity. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about their systems and workflows. She relentlessly ensures systems are in place so that moms and babies are kept safe. She is always looking out for new system components and enhancements that will advance patient safety.

Another is the champion of all champions when it comes to workflows. She is fearless in looking for ways to eliminate extra steps that cause duplicated work. She facilitates a LEAN culture not only when new applications are being implemented, but also with workflows and applications that are already long established. Another is, to put it mildly, wildly passionate about nursing education. Her newsletter and educational materials are flawless. She is highly collaborative and a trusted source of truth. Everyone turns to her when clinicians need to be educated. She uses all resources available: classroom, video, newsletter, and at the elbow.

Another is a terrific technical counterpart to his IT friends. He is always evaluating new technology, adapting existing technology, and discovering new ways to streamline processes. In the ever-evolving realm of technology that we live in, he is a key person for disseminating new technology to clinical departments.

Another has the important skill of being able to translate what clinicians need for reporting to the IT staff. She facilitates new practices that mesh multiple systems into a cohesive workflow. The team leader is fearless! She has managed to find the best nurses around to work on this highly effective team that acts as IT's right arm. It is impossible to list all of the ways the system has safer systems because of this team! These nurses represent the guiding principles of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in all they do to improve the health and well-being of every life they touch. For this reason, this team and its members are highly deserving of this DAISY Team Award!
