My husband was hospitalized on the West Tower, 3rd floor. All the nurses were nice. He returned soon after until he passed away. During the second stay, Sayda was his nurse for several days. Her warmth and humor were so apparent and contributed to his having good days. But it was her attentiveness to addressing his issues and needs that made a significant difference in his attitude and desire to get better. Sayda also asked to be reassigned to him after her days off, which helped him some she knew his case and how to approach him to eat, move and do his breathing exercises. My husband's appetite was poor, but Sayda got him to try to eat every day. She surprised him with a donut, and he ate half, primarily because she brought it to him. I know her bedside manner made all the difference in maintaining his comfort and good humor. Sadly, he passed, but I will always remember how terrific she was. She was also so good to me as I spent hours at the hospital. It helped with the situations we were dealing with daily. Thank you for nurses like Sayda!
