I cannot say enough good things about Cristina. She has shown nothing but compassion for my situation and has even been there for me as a shoulder to cry on when I’m missing my family. She comes by frequently just to make sure that I am doing okay, even if no medicine is due or anything else. And when I am upset, she is there for me and listening and helping me get through those hard times.

Some nights are extremely hard because I’ve been away from my wife and my daughter for longer than I ever have in the past 22 years of marriage. This has been something that has been extremely tough on me. She made it quite aware that everything is gonna be okay, and when she talked to me, she comforted me. It definitely made me feel truly like everything was gonna be okay. She is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and I have been in lots of hospitals. I’ve had over 50 surgeries in my life, and nothing has ever compared to the treatment that she has shown me, so I think she is one of the best.

I am thankful every day she’s my nurse. I look forward to seeing her when she says, “I’ll see you in the morning,” because even if I have a bad night, that means in the morning she’s gonna be there to make everything feel that much better. Cristina is being recognized for her compassion, her feeling, and her being there for people even when they might not recognize that they need somebody to be there for them. She just makes them feel that much better.
