I had never felt more vulnerable and scared, and yet, in her presence, I felt heard, seen, and safe.
When I first arrived, I was lost, overwhelmed, and uncertain of what the future held. My right eye kept losing vision, getting darker and darker. In that darkness, Jasmin was the light that guided me through some of the most difficult days of my life. From the very first moment I met Jasmine, she offered not just her expertise, but her genuine heart. I had never felt more vulnerable and scared, and yet, in her presence, I felt heard, seen, and safe. She wasn’t just a nurse, Jasmin was my anchor, the one person who seemed to understand that healing isn’t just physical, but emotional too.
What I will always remember about Jasmin are the moments when words weren’t enough. There were times when I was too afraid to ask questions, or too exhausted to understand my treatment. But Jasmin always knew exactly what to say and how to reassure me, never rushing, always patient. She took the time to explain what was happening with my body, answered all of my questions with kindness, and gently helped me understand what I was going through.
In a time when the world felt chaotic and beyond my control, she brought peace. It wasn’t just her skill in administering care that made them so remarkable; it was her warmth. When I was frightened, Jasmin was there to offer a soft word of encouragement. When I felt defeated, she found a way to lift my spirits. She was always attentive, but it was the quiet moments, like holding my hand when I was too weak to do anything else or simply offering a smile when I thought I couldn’t go on, that truly touched me. I realized that I wasn’t just another patient to her; I was a person, and she cared about my well-being, both physically and emotionally.
In the darkness of a stroke diagnosis, Jasmin was the light that made me believe in recovery again. Her presence gave me strength I didn’t know I had, and her gentle encouragement helped me take one step after another when it felt impossible. I cannot express how deeply grateful I am for the love and care she showed me during my stay. Jasmin is the epitome of what it means to be a nurse, not just in skill, but in heart.
