What truly sets Jency apart is her empathy and mentorship. Her kindness and emotional intelligence are evident in her interactions with patients, families, and team members.
We are so happy to share that today’s DAISY Nurse Leader Award goes to our very own Trauma Program Manager, Jency Philipose.

Jency has been the driving force behind our trauma program’s success, especially in obtaining CCMC’s ACS (American College of Surgeons) re-verification. Her tireless work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting every deadline have ensured our successful achievement of re-verification. Her background in emergency nursing brings clarity and coordination to complex trauma cases. She is also a key contributor to our mass casualty incident (MCI) preparedness efforts, helping to develop protocols that enhance patient safety and organizational readiness. Jency’s nursing leadership and expertise are invaluable in facilitating smooth multidisciplinary trauma cases.

Jency’s leadership is not confined to the clinical sphere. She uplifts the morale of those around her with her friendly, approachable demeanor and genuine appreciation for her team. She remembers team members’ birthdays (and favorite cake flavors!), and she never fails to stop by and say hello. Her positive energy is contagious, creating an environment where people feel seen, supported, and motivated to perform at the highest level for our patients and families.

What truly sets Jency apart is her empathy and mentorship. Her kindness and emotional intelligence are evident in her interactions with patients, families, and team members.

Jency leads by example every single day. She creates a culture of positivity, inclusivity, and resilience. Her dedication to both the technical and human sides of trauma care makes her not just a strong leader—but an irreplaceable one.
