We had a situation where a patient arrived with a Urostomy bag, and the equipment that the jail sent never made it to our hospital, so we were finding it difficult to treat/assist with this patient's medical needs. This is where Jarrett stepped in and informed me of a patient who was recently discharged who used a similar product as the current patient. He knew this because he went to the discharged patient’s unit at one point and assisted the Unit RN with placement of this equipment. With that information, I was able to locate the extra supplies that were left behind. We got those supplies on the Unit, and the nurse was able to utilize them and continue the patient care without disruption and relieve some stress the patient was feeling due to the circumstances. Jarrett's ability to think critically/outside the box, stay cool in stressful situations, and ALWAYS assist where and when needed with the patients' needs at the center of focus, continues to amaze me. He is truly an asset, not only to Admissions but to the Hospital and the patients we serve. Jarrett saved the day. Thank you, Jarrett.
